BPF YOUNG PROFESSIONALS PROGRAMME: HEALTHCARE OPPORTUNITIES IN PAKISTAN – CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES – IMPERIAL COLLEGE

Our Women’s Programme advisor: Marium Qaiser (Manager, GSK) was invited to speak to medical students at Imperial College on her research into antibiotic resistance and the major issue of counterfeit medicines in Pakistan. She provided an in-depth presentation about this issue and the consequences of supplying these counterfeit medicines to patients. In additon to this, she also launched the medical internships programme in Pakistan for medical students in the UK who wish to pursue a medical internship at a top hospital in Pakistan such as Agha Khan Hospital or Shaukat Khanum Hospital.
