At the British Pakistan Foundation, we use information collected from our members online (via our website and social media platforms) to communicate with our members on a regular basis (i.e. weekly and monthly) to inform them of the various programme initiatives, events, mentorships, internships / work placements, jobs and other opportunities related to professional development and supporting entrepreneurship that we offer to our members (in some cases on a complementary basis) that might be of benefit to them. We also collect information from our members via evaluation forms and annual surveys to get their feedback on our various programmes and initiatives in order to further development and improve our programmes and initiatives and to help us progress the work of our charity. We take your privacy seriously and are open about the way in which data is collected and used. This Privacy Policy covers all services provided on our website and social media platforms (i.e. Linked In, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and You Tube). Collection

This policy covers any data that we collect from visitors and users of our website via the online membership forms, donation form and subscription to newsletter form that could be used to identify you as an individual. This will include information that we ask you to provide in order to provide you information about our programmes and initiatives– such as your email address, your name and your address and your telephone number. If you choose to use our online donate option or join as a BPF Premier Club member, then your financial information is only provided and used by PayPal on an independent basis as this is the only means of payment available on our website. PayPal may collect additional information from you of a financial nature, including your credit card number and your billing address that you may choose not to provide. For those individuals, who would like to donate or become BPF Premier Club members but would not like to use “PayPal”, they can contact our office on info@bpfuk.org for alternative methods of payment such as bank transfer or cheque etc. We may also collect information about your visit to our website, including the pages you view, the links that you click on and other actions taken within our website that is governed by the “Cookies Policy” and you may choose to opt out of enabling “Cookies” if you wish to do so. We also collect certain standard information that your browser sends to every website you visit, such as your computer’s unique IP address.

Use of Personal Data

We will use your personal data in order to provide information to you about our programmes and initiatives, invite you to programmes events and share information about mentorships, internships / work placements, jobs and other opportunities as well as membership information that you request (including sending our BPF Premier Club membership card and benefits letter to you by post when you sign up to become a BPF Premier Club member) and to fulfil your requests for information from us and to assist in the progressing the work of our charity. We may use your information to contact you from time to time about the charity and to gather further information and feedback from you.

You may request that we stop using your personal data in this way at any time by contacting us using the details below. However, please note if you withdraw your consent it may prevent us from keeping you up to date and offering our services to you.

Disclosing your details to other parties

The British Pakistan Foundation does not share, sell, trade, lease or rent your personal information to other parties without your express consent. Aside from the circumstances below we will not pass your data on to any other party. In the following circumstances we may disclose your information:

We retain all data collected whilst you continue to actively be a member of the British Pakistan Foundation or until you request us to remove your details from our records.
