About British Pakistan Foundation (BPF):
British Pakistan Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering British Pakistanis through community programmes, mentorship, cultural initiatives, and impactful storytelling.
Since our founding in 2010, we have engaged over 20,000 members nationwide and aim to double our community impact by 2027. From our Aspire Mentorship Programme to the Outstanding British Pakistanis series and cultural campaigns, we are building a connected, confident, and representative diaspora.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a creative, organised, and digital-savvy Social Media Manager to lead our content strategy and storytelling across platforms – particularly Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok. You’ll help us shape the public voice and visual identity of BPF, grow our following, and build a highly engaged digital community.
This role is ideal for someone who combines creative flair with strategic thinking, and has a genuine interest in diaspora communities, identity, and culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Design:
- Design and produce eye-catching, on-brand content for all social media platforms.
- Lead the creation of graphics, short-form video (Reels/TikToks), motion graphics, and visual assets.
- Maintain a consistent and recognisable visual identity across all digital channels.
Social Media Strategy & Growth:
- Develop and execute a weekly/monthly content calendar aligned with BPF’s strategic goals.
- Track and report on social media performance (engagement rates, follower growth, reach, etc.).
- Adapt content based on platform trends, algorithm changes, and audience behaviour.
Campaigns & Paid Media:
- Plan and manage paid campaigns across all social media platforms.
- Optimise media spend and track ROI using analytics tools.
Storytelling & Community Engagement:
- Craft compelling narratives that reflect the lived experiences and aspirations of the British Pakistani community.
- Engage meaningfully with our digital audience via DMs, comments, reposts, and user-generated content.
Newsletter & Email Marketing:
- Create engaging monthly newsletter content with the team.
- Manage subscriber database and track open/click-through rates.
Administrative Support:
- Take minutes during meetings, prepare agendas, and record action points.
- Support scheduling, internal communications, and follow-ups with team members and partners.
- Assist with content scheduling and file management.
Success Will Be Measured By:
- Growth in followers, reach, and engagement rates across social media platforms
- Impact of paid campaigns (CTR, conversions, cost-per-action)
- Quality and consistency of content output
- Newsletter open and engagement rates
- Positive community sentiment and feedback
- Delivery of admin and team support tasks on time
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience managing social media accounts, especially Instagram and TikTok
- Strong design skills using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar
- Ability to shoot and edit short-form video content (Reels/TikToks)
- Experience in paid media planning and optimisation
- Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills
- Strong organisational skills for admin, scheduling, and team coordination
- A proactive, self-motivated mindset
- Understanding of the British Pakistani community or wider diaspora culture (preferred but not essential)
Qualifications:
- Degree in Marketing, Design, Media, or a related field (preferred but not essential)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in social media content creation and digital marketing
