BPF is on the Steering Committee of the Grand Trunk Project which has been developed in partnership with faith leaders (i.e. City Sikhs, Hindu Forum for Britain, AMAL, Hindu Council UK, Dervish Creative etc.), community activists, facilitated by Faiths Forum for London and backed by the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG).
The project seeks inspiration from the ancient and unifying Grand Trunk Road (G.T. Road) which runs across the subcontinent and aims to build common ground and open up much needed dialogue between the faith communities on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the partition of the Indian Subcontinent through a specially curated exhibition created by Dervish Creative and by running a series of community events across 11 regions in the UK.
We are very grateful to the Shri Guru Ravidass Bhawan for hosting and catering the Grand Trunk Project event and exhibition on the 21st of October from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
