Join us for an evening of networking, mentoring and socialising, as well as listening to 3 inspirational speakers on their journey to success!

Our inspirational speakers include:

Cllr Hashim Bhatti (Conservative Councillor for Clewer North, Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead):
Bhatti is a corporate lawyer by trade with a Masters in Economics, Politics, Philosophy and Law. He is the CEO of HB Capital, investing in the property and tech sector. In May 2015, Hashim was elected as a Conservative Councillor for Clewer North in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, becoming the first British Pakistani in history to be selected by the party in Windsor for the local council elections and is one of the youngest to win. He is also the Chair of the youth wing of the Conservative Muslim Forum, a Huffington Post blogger and a member of the US Embassy’s flagship Future Young Leaders’ Programme.
He was recently selected by the OSCE as an expert young leader to help them develop a coalition building manual in Europe. In April this year, he was selected as a UK representative for the Commonwealth Youth Forum held in London. Bhatti recently wrote an article for the Guardian newspaper titled: ‘I am a Tory councillor. Islamophobia in my party goes beyond Boris Johnson’. In 2016, JCI named Hashim as one of the UK’s 10 outstanding young leaders. He was also named as a finalist at the 2017 LGA local government awards as one of the UK’s Young Councillors of the Year.

– Roohi Hasan (Senior Producer, ITV News):
Having been discouraged on her career choice by her school and community for respectively claiming it was too difficult and unsuitable, Roohi went onto fulfil her dream of working in media. She is passionate about supporting other young people aspiring to gain entry into the industry and other professions, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Roohi’s journalism at ITN has taken her around the world and received a number of accolades over the years. Last year, with the Prime Minister also in attendance, she was presented with an award for Excellence in Media by the Attorney General at the Muslim News Awards for her role in some of the network’s coverage of key national and international events including the death of Nelson Mandela. Roohi also won the Asian Women of Achievement Awards in the Media category very early on in her career at ITN for rising up in the competitive world of broadcast journalism.

– Wasim Ahmed (Life Coach & Director, Ahmeys Group, Alemo Group and Luminescent Enterprise):
Wasim Ahmed has a passion for people and seeing them grow. Qualifying as pharmacist and having an entrepreneurial spirit led to him founding Ahmeys Ltd, Alemo Group and Luminescent Enterprise. The businesses specialise in Pharmacy, Technology, Executive Coaching and Real-Estate. Wasim now is focussing on helping create an environment for the worlds future entrepreneurs through investing and setting up incubation centres to support their growth.
