BPF Pakistan Societies Cultural Challenge 2024
The British Pakistan Foundation (BPF) is excited to announce the BPF Pakistan Societies Cultural Challenge 2024! This initiative invites Pakistan Societies at universities across the UK to submit proposals for cultural events celebrating heritage, community, and culture. BPF will sponsor the best plans — whether for a one-off event or a series of events throughout the academic year — giving you the chance to bring your ideas to life and make a significant impact on your campus!
How to Participate:
- Register your Pakistan Society and submit your event proposal to enter the competition via [email protected]
- Choose Your Proposal Type:
- One-Off Event Plan: Submit a plan for a single, impactful cultural event that educates and engages attendees.
- Annual Event Series Plan: Propose a series of events, such as monthly cultural nights, speaker sessions, or interactive workshops, to showcase various aspects of Pakistani culture throughout the year.
- Plan Your Event(s) with a clear vision, goals, and a budget breakdown to apply for sponsorship.
Sponsorship Requirements:
Educational Component: Your event or events must include an educational aspect that highlights British-Pakistani culture—consider elements like historical storytelling, a cooking demonstration, or a traditional music showcase.
Audience Impact: Include an estimate of anticipated attendees and outline your engagement plan, tracking attendees with contact information via an Excel sheet at your event(s).
Acknowledgement of BPF:
Display: The BPF logo must be included on all event materials and prominently displayed at the event.
Mention: Include a note, “This event is supported by the British Pakistan Foundation (BPF), an organization dedicated to empowering the British Pakistani community.”
Social media: Add a QR code on event posters or displays linking to BPF’s Instagram/Newsletter Sign up/Donation Page, encouraging attendees to connect with us.
Post-Event Submissions:
Media Submission: Provide 5-10 high-quality photos, story videos and recap video from the event(s).
Event Recap: Submit a blog-style write-up detailing the educational aspect, cultural impact, and engagement from the event.
Evaluation Criteria:
Sponsorship decisions will be based on:
Event Plan Quality: Clear objectives, detailed planning, and a well-structured budget.
Creativity and Originality: Unique event themes and engaging ideas.
Cultural Impact and Reach: The potential for your event to effectively engage and educate attendees about culture.
Funding Amounts:
BPF will award sponsorships based on the scale and impact of the proposed events:
Up to £2000 for the highest-impact event or series
Up to £1500 for runner-up proposals
Up to £500 for third place proposals

28th November 2024 at 2:32 amPakistan and the UK share vibrant histories and cultural diversity that deserve to be celebrated on a global scale. We can actively participate by organizing events, workshops, and discussions that promote mutual understanding and appreciation of both Pakistani and British cultures. Encouraging students to share their traditions and creating platforms for dialogue and cultural exchange can foster greater unity and inclusivity. Celebrating this diversity not only highlights the richness of Pakistan’s and UK multicultural heritage but also enhances their global impact.
I would be delighted to hear from you regarding such opportunities.
